Saying Christmas Good-byes

Dear Friends,

Yesterday was the last day we’re going to see some of our Lugo friends until after New Years. We all got together at a new restaurant (for us) which had been recommended multiple times. The portion sizes of Lugo are always great, but this place’s were so huge that we all walked out feeling rounder around the middle.

Afterwards, we walked the wall in the fog and the lights of the city in Christmas. It was beautiful and I tried to get a picture, but none did the sight justice.

The best part was when we stopped by the last remaining window of the wall and sang Christmas carols off of lyrics we found on one of our phones.

I know that most of the other expats are travelling home or to other parts abroad. Considering the recent Berlin attacks, I hope that everyone is safe in their travels. I’m looking forward to spending the rest of season with Laurel, Matt, and Jaz. It is so strange to think that Christmas is almost here.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Best wishes,
